TESTIMONIALS

Anna Sofia

“God is truly so good!” I was born in San Diego, California but God called me to come serve in Tierra Bomba for 3 months. During this time He truly displayed how great He is! Being here has changed my perspective on everything! I am beyond blessed that God gave me the opportunity to come to Colombia and create a community that became my family and I look forward to coming back !

Christ shines through His people. During my time in Colombia, I served with Calvary The Refuge in Tierra Bomba and Calvary Cartagena. I taught English classes, helped with handyman projects, and supported the ministries in different ways. What impacted me the most was how the people here taught me to become more like Jesus. Their deep love for the Lord encouraged me, and I’m so thankful for the time I spent with them.

God has been faithful! “Spending every week working in the school and finding new ways to teach English to the students made me realize I have always had a passion for teaching and service. I arrived in Cartagena with expectations that the Lord was surely going to move powerfully and I had no idea how He would drastically go on to radically change me and my heart for service.”
